But, I CAN tell you that the way the film handles the revelation of those secrets is done very well, and the plot is a very interesting and engaging thrill ride. I can't delve too deeply into the plot without giving away the one or two major spoilers that the film contains. After a lot of anxiety and an escape attempt, she finally settles down in the bunker with Howard and a local handyman Emmett, portrayed by John Gallagher Jr. When she awakes, she finds herself trapped in a doomsday shelter built by Howard, played by John Goodman, who tells her the world above is unsafe due to a chemical or nuclear attack on the surface.
